New Start Program

The New Jersey South Lacrosse Chapter is pleased to announce its fourth year of sponsoring "The New Start Program" for beginning youth and high school programs for both boys and girls. To date, we have assisted 11 different programs

Program Description:
The "New Start Package" consists of 2 goals, 2 nets and 10 dozen balls provided free of charge for every qualified new program in the chapter. This package is valued at approximately $600.00. It is our policy not to award any cash gifts to any new program.

1. Each program requesting The New Jersey South Chapter's assistance must submit a written letter/proposal via email that describes your program's initiative and future plans. Please include the number of participants, age group and gender. Most importantly though, you must verify that all participants, including the coaching staff, are members of US Lacrosse, the national governing body of our sport. If you need membership applications please log onto US Lacrosse's website http://www.uslacrosse.org.

The proposals will be discussed and approved only at our quarterly Board of Trustees meetings. This means that there could be a potential delay of 10-12 weeks before processing. We also have a budget associated with this program. Therefore, only a finite number of programs can benefit from this program in any given year. We will do our best to expedite the process in a timely manner.

A follow-up "Thank You" note is required from each program in order to confirm that they have received their merchandise.

During your start-up stages, you may also be thinking of where to buy equipment and sticks at a fair price. Please consider them as they offer discounted "Team Pricing" for beginning programs such as yours.
